Nope, that’s not a typo. For many New Yorkers, October is better known as Archtober, the city’s architecture and design month during which hundreds of events, tours, and exhibitions are organized by over 60 partners across the five boroughs.
In fact, just today, you can attend “The Thing,” a workshop where twelve participants, alone in a conference room, open a suitcase of cues that guide them to imagine and commit to their own “thing”; take a Bridge, Architecture and Infrastructure Tour aboard a luxurious yacht; or even check out an info session for Architecture Graduate programs at CUNY.
Be sure to check out the full schedule of events here.
After all, in a city where skyscrapers abound, it feels good to learn a little something about your surroundings.
